2. Processing of personal data and purposes of processing

a) When visiting the website

You can visit our website without having to disclose any information about your identity. The browser used on your device only automatically sends information to the server of our website (e.g. browser type and version, date and time of access) to enable the website to establish a connection. This also includes the IP address of your requesting device. This is temporarily stored in a log file and automatically deleted after 4 days.

The IP address is processed for technical and administrative purposes of connection establishment and stability in order to ensure the security and functionality of our website and to be able to prosecute any illegal attacks on it if necessary.

The legal basis for the processing of the IP address is Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest follows from the aforementioned security interest and the need to provide our website without disruption.

We cannot draw any direct conclusions about your identity from the processing of the IP address and other information in the log file.

We also use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website. You will find more detailed explanations in this data protection information below.

b) When using contact forms

We offer you the opportunity to contact us using a form provided on the website. The following information is mandatory:

  • First name and surname
  • e-mail address

We need your data to determine who sent the request and to be able to answer and process it.

The data processing takes place in response to your request and is based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO in the context of responding to a contact request.

The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form will be automatically deleted after your inquiry has been dealt with.

3. Disclosure of personal data

If we pass on personal data that we collect via the website to processors, we will inform you of this in this data protection information for the respective data processing operation, naming the specific recipient.

Otherwise, we only pass on your personal data if

  • you have given your express consent to this in accordance with Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO;
  • this is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract with you in accordance with Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. b DSGVO (for example, when passing on data to shipping companies for the purpose of delivering the goods you have ordered or when passing on payment data to payment service providers or credit institutions in order to carry out a payment transaction);
  • there is a legal obligation for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. c DSGVO.

The forwarded data may only be used by the recipients for the stated purposes.

If personal data is transferred to a third country (outside the EU) or an international organization, this will be indicated separately.

4. Cookies

a) Session cookies/session cookies

We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your end device by the Internet browser you use. These cookies are used to process certain information about you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, on an individual basis.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, as the processing enables, for example, the reproduction of our website in different languages or the offer of a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit b.) DSGVO, insofar as these cookies are processed for contract initiation or contract processing.

If the processing does not serve to initiate or process a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis in this case is Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your Internet browser.

b) Third-party cookies

Our website may also use cookies from partner companies with whom we cooperate for the purposes of advertising, analysis or the functionalities of our website.

Please refer to the following information for details, in particular the purposes and legal basis for processing such third-party cookies.

c) Removal option

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by changing the settings of your Internet browser. You can also delete cookies that have already been saved at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on the specific Internet browser you are using. If you have any questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support. In the case of so-called Flash cookies, however, processing cannot be prevented via the browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash player. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the specific Flash player you are using. If you have any questions, please also use the help function or documentation of your Flash player or contact the manufacturer or user support.

However, if you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be used to their full extent.

5. Social media plugins

We use social media buttons (also known as social media plugins) on our website. These are small buttons that you can use to publish content from our website on social networks under your profile.

If you activate such a button, a connection is established between our website and the social network. In addition to the content in question, the operator of the social network receives further information, some of which is personal. This includes, for example, the fact that you are currently visiting our site.

The social media buttons are integrated using the so-called Shariff solution. This solution prevents a connection to a social network from being established simply because you visit a page with a social media button without activating it. This means that information is only transmitted to the social network when you activate the button.

We use the following social media plugins:

a) LinkedIn: Sharing with the LinkedIn Corporation

Some information is transmitted to the parent company LinkedIn Corporation, based in the USA. This company observes the data protection provisions of the “US Privacy Shield” and is registered with the “US Privacy Shield” program of the US Department of Commerce. Further information on data protection at LinkedIn can be found in their privacy policy.

6. Rights of data subjects

You have the right:

  • in accordance with Art. 7 Abs. 3 DSGVO, to withdraw your consent once given to us at any time. As a result, we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future;
  • to request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of appeal, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information on its details;

  • in accordance with Art. 20 DSGVO, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request that it be transmitted to another controller;

7. Information about your right to object in accordance with Art. 21 DSGVO

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Artikel 6 Absatz 1 Buchstabe e DSGVO (data processing in the public interest) and Artikel 6 Absatz 1 Buchstabe f DSGVO (data processing on the basis of a balancing of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision of Artikel 4 Nr. 4 DSGVO.

If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

If you object to the processing of data for the purpose of direct marketing, we will cease processing immediately. In this case, it is not necessary to specify a particular situation. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising.
